Filipino Cuisine to the World
On October 2, 2023, the UP Asian Institute of Tourism, in partnership with the UP College of Home Economics, hosted the lecture, book launch and signing of award-winning chef and author Claude Tayag.
Director of DOT-NCR Sharlene Zabala-Batin and Officer in Charge of Quezon City Tourism Department Maria Teresa Tirona delivered their message related to food tourism. Prof. Fidel Nemenzo gave a short introduction to Chef Claude Tayag.
Chef Claude Tayag imparted his expertise in food through his lecture titled “Filipino Cuisine to the World”. After his lecture, attendees eagerly asked questions.
He launched and signed his book “The Ultimate Filipino Adobo: Stories through the Ages”. Attendees who purchased Chef Tayag’s book had the opportunity to get their books autographed and have a photo taken with the award-winning chef and author.
UPAIT will continue to conduct initiatives that will create opportunities that are beneficial for students and the whole AIT community.
