The UP AIT-ATOP Collaboration has landed in Luzon
The UP Asian Institute of Tourism and the Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines (ATOP) Capacity Development Program for new tourism officers, as well as those seeking a โrefresherโ, comes to a close on the 3rd of the 3 stops held at the UP AIT. This program inked in June of this year has been able to traverse Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao in an effort to reach the interested tourism officers of LGUs in all areas of the country. Phase 3 of “Future Proofing Local Tourism Thru Policy, Planning and Innovation” came to a close after the Luzon cluster had its training last September 11-12, 2025.
The event was attended by over 90 ATOP members, more than half of whom are new members of the association. The ATOP National Officers and Regional Representatives for Central Luzon, NCR, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and Bicol Region were present in the Luzon cluster training with the most attendees.
This program may end with this last leg, but discussions are ongoing to explore more opportunities for collaboration. The UP AIT and ATOP have seen that there are so many ways to continue to work together for the betterment of the Philippine tourism industry.
Mabuhay ang turismo ng Pilipinas!
