AIT graduate students mount “IkoTurismo”: An exhibit on circular economy in tourism
On December 2, 2024, the AIT Master of Science in Tourism Development and Management Tour 297 class under the supervision of Dr. Reil G. Cruz unveiled “IkoTurismo,” an exhibit showcasing the process loop of the circular economy as well as its applications and best practices in the tourism and hospitality industries.
The exhibit aims to educate tourism students and the AIT community on the principles, challenges, opportunities, and impacts of the circular economy in tourism. It also seeks to engage and encourage its viewers to embrace circular economy practices in tourism to create long-term benefits, reduce environmental impacts, and enhance sustainability.
In partnership with The Plastic Flamingo Plastic Recyclers, IkoTurismo also invites the AIT community to turn your plastic waste into recycled eco boards. Donate and drop them at the designated bins at the AIT lobby.
Catch the exhibit on display until Friday, December 6, 2024.
